After the extension of the furlough scheme as the country is set to enter another lockdown, Rishi Sunak announced yesterday that the Self-employed would also see their support under the SEISS doubled for the month of November.
Previously under the Winter Economy Plan, the payments for the 3rd round of Self Employed Income Support Scheme grants was set to be 40% of profits up to to a maximum of £3,750 for the 3 months November, December and January. With claims not being available to be made until mid-December. This is now been increased to 80% for November, but remaining at 40% for December and January, with the claim date being brought forward to the end of this month on 30th November.
This means that the grant available for the 3 months will now be 55% of trading profits up to a maximum of £5,160.
