Daniel has been shortlisted by the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants (NorSCA) for the Presidents’ Award Professional Stage; he will find out if he has won at the Northern Society Business & Awards Dinner, which is taking place on Friday 11 October at the Civic Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The Northern Society of Chartered Accountants (NorSCA) is the membership body of over 4,000 ICAEW members and ACA students working in the finance profession across the North East of England, Teesside, Northern Yorkshire and Cumbria.
NorSCA members Saint & Co are authorised on behalf of ICAEW to train Chartered Accountants, and encourage applications from applicants looking to pursue a career in accountancy and gain a recognised qualification. Their three year training contract offers students full training and exam support and provides paid study leave in addition to the standard annual and statutory holiday entitlement.
The staff at Saint & Co are thrilled to learn that Daniel has been shortlisted for another award and are keeping their fingers crossed.
Partner, Stuart Farrer said, “We are very pleased that Daniel has achieved the success his hard-work and effort deserves. He has managed to juggle his personal commitments and family life, whilst studying and working full time at the same time to achieve some very high marks in his professional exams.
We are constantly striving to ensure we can give our clients the best advice possible and to do so involves having a number of well qualified staff who can all keep up to date and bounce ideas off one another.”
So what does the future have in store for Daniel? Though it’s hard to see beyond the exams he still has to pass, Daniel says he is looking forward to the myriad opportunities for professional and personal development as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, and of course, at Saint & Co.
His advice for any aspiring accountant considering applying to work there – “It’s worth it”.
Saint & Co are always on the lookout for talented, like minded individuals to join their team. If, like Daniel, you’re considering pursuing a career in accountancy and you’re eager to make a difference in supporting someone with their business, then we’re ready to talk!
