If you run a business that falls in the Carlisle City Council area, you may now be eligible to claim under the latest Additional Restrictions Grant, called the Local Recovery Grant. Over £900,000 has been allocated to Carlisle Council for this purpose, however, if you feel you are eligible to claim, unlike some previous grants, you must apply for this grant at https://www.carlisle.gov.uk/Online-Forms/Covid-19-LRG-ARG . If your fixed ongoing operating costs are more than £200 per month, then you should be eligible to apply.  Applications close at midday on 31st May 2021.
Unfortunately, with around 1,000 businesses in the Carlisle area benefiting from previous ARG grants, the exact amount any successful applicants may receive can’t be quantified at this point. If you want to know more, please contact us.
